Candace is a visual
artist and her studio is located at the Williams Mill Visual Arts
Center Her creations are evocative of the spirit within. She uses a vibrant palette with highlights and additions to images that exist beneath layers of paint, creating variations in the original colour and composition, allowing the viewer to discover elements revealed through the layers. The results are works of art that combine explorations in colour with soulful and impressionistic themes. Some of her compositions are playful or experimental, while others are inspired by her love of photography. Candace earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Ontario’s University of Guelph. Since 1989 she has held many individual exhibitions and participated in numerous juried and group exhibitions across Canada. In 1996 she received an award from a University of Guelph Juried Exhibition. Her photographs have been featured in various publications. Candace divides her time between the William’s Mill Visual Arts Centre and her home studio.
